Welcome to In His Image
Whether you are brand new to the church thing or you’ve been around church for a while, we want to say welcome! Our goal at In His Image Church is to create environments and experiences where you can encounter God in the midst of your life. When you come to In His Image Church on a weekend, our aim is that you would be inspired by the music, encouraged by the message, welcomed by our amazing community of people & be reminded that God’s grace is here!
What We Believe About...
God
We believe that there is only one true, living, and eternal God and that the Godhead is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the Old and New Testaments, the inspired and infallible Word of God, and therein is found the only reliable guide of Christian faith and conduct.
Man
We believe that God created man in His own image to bring Him honor through obedience, and that when man disobeyed, he became a fallen and sinful creature, unable to save himself. We believe that infants are in the covenant of God's grace and that all persons become accountable to God when they reach a state of moral responsibility.
Salvation
We believe that salvation (regeneration, sanctification, justification and redemption) has been provided for all mankind through the redemptive work (life, death, resurrection, ascension, and intercession) of Jesus Christ, and that this salvation can be received only through repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christian Duties
We believe that Christians should live faithfully by serving in and through the local church, praying diligently, witnessing earnestly, practicing tolerance, showing loving kindness, giving as God prospers, and conducting themselves in such a way as to bring glory to God.
The Church
We believe that the Church Universal is the Body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers, and that its members have been called out from the world to come under the dominion and authority of Christ, its head. We believe that a local church is a fellowship of Christians, a part of the Body of Christ, voluntarily banded together for worship, nurture, and service.
Man
We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ to be observed by Christians only. We also believe that the Biblical mode of baptism is immersion and that participation in the Lord's Supper should be open to all Christians.
Christ's Return
We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the dead. We believe that God will judge all mankind by Jesus Christ; that He will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell.
Our Mission
In His Image Church is currently in a Transition Changeover,
i.e., Pastoral Search in Process, therefore a new Mission Statement is up and coming.
Our Pastor
In His Image Church does not have a current Pastor at this time. A Pastoral Search Process is currently in progress.
Pastor Brad Swain is operating as our interim pastor through the end of 2025.
Some of Our Staff and Volunteers
For our all new "In His Image-kids!" My name is Sally Gibson. I have been a member of In His Image Church for over 2 years, and a Christian for 32 years. I am a stay at home housewife and mom to my beautiful blended family, with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. I absolutely love to read, learn, travel, hike, event plan, craft, cook, garden, and I have over 5 years of professional teaching experience in multiple states. I am currently a homeschool teacher, a church cleaning lady on Thursdays, and now your new Lead teacher of IHI Children's Church! Our freedom, safety, church, family and faith are top priority and I look forward to meeting every one of you. My mother in Law, Lea Fuller, is our sweet church secretary. My Husband, Eric Gibson, is a trustee and head of security, but you might recognize him as the handsome man with a beard and glasses who also runs the sound board.
Pastor Steven married us on Aug 19th 2023 on our property where we are currently building our dream house. I am very excited to get to know everyone better and share more about myself and my family as we all move together for In His Image Fellowship. It is a privilege to witness and volunteer through our congregation, and an honor to teach our children all about Jesus. God bless you!
